20 Second Timeout:
This article, which originally ran at NBCSports.com, analyzes Game 3 of the 2007 NBA Finals. Two things struck me about this game: (1) even though many so-called experts clamored for Daniel Gibson to start over Larry Hughes, Gibson performed much worse as a starter than he did as a reserve (a factor that I had previously mentioned as the reason that Coach Mike Brown was reluctant to make the change; (2) LeBron James and the Cavaliers made no excuses, refusing to cite a questionable no-call at the end of the game as any factor in the outcome.
