IntheOT:
The San Antonio Spurs organization has come under a lot of heat in the past week receiving a 250 K fine due to Poppovich’s decision to rest his star players for Thursday night’s marquee TNT match up with the Miami Heat. They may be hearing from David Stern once again in the near future as a very interesting what has to be perceived by many as a controversial photograph has surfaced online. During a Halloween party a guest was dressed up as NBA referee Joey Crawford standing between Parker & Duncan who had fake guns pointed in his direction. Check out the photograph that I originally found at terezowens.com Personally I don’t have a big issue with this photograph because they were probably just joking around. It’s not like players don’t have certain referee’s they dislike more then others. Anybody that doesn’t actually believe that is naive. Crawford has to be one of them that has obviously pissed the Spurs off over the years.David Stern being the dictator he is always concerned about the league’s image cannot be happy about this. Especially when it’s a direct attack at one of his employee’s that he will defend at all costs refusing to ever admit some of the terrible mistakes they make on the court. Furthermore, in the politically correct over the top cautious society we live in he probably believes they could be serious about this and may need to involve the authorities to ensure nothing wrong happens under his watch from a criminal perspective. You would have to believe after what the Spurs organization did by embarrassing him on Thursday their will be no benefit of the doubt and look the other way for them. I expect them to receive the stiffest possible punishment.

Commissioner David Stern Wishes Eric Gordon Were Healthier
David Stern gets flak from a lot of different angles. Most of it is deserved. However, he also knows how to run the NBA. He did just that with John Reid of the New Orleans Times Picayune...

A San Antonio Halloween
Beautiful. Apparently this is real and before last week’s sanctions. Glad to see Mr. Longoria Parker and The Big Fundamental had themselves a good time this past October 31st. Photoshopping David Stern in a suit onto Joey Crawford’s body is too easy, but this photo is already too perfect. Happy belated Halloween!!

The only reason I planned on attending a Knicks game this year was to see...
