For those who think sports and alcohol go hand-in-hand, paying outrageous arena prices for beer is just part of the experience. Of course, some fans get the benefit of better prices when they go to watch their team play. Overall, beer prices at NBA arenas are up 3% this year, but the Spurs are still near the top of the list when it comes to cheapest alcohol. The Spurs are tied with the Thunder for third in the NBA in terms of money per ounce of beer. At the AT&T Center, you can get a 16 oz. beer for $5, which is 31 cents per ounce. San Antonio and Oklahoma City are the only teams in the league that still offer the $5 beer. It’s still a ridiculous price when you compare it to what you can get at a gas station, but it could be a lot worse. Laker fans pay the most in the NBA to drink during the games.
