Team USA today named its pool of 28 tall and athletic American humans from which it will pick the teams to take over the world one basketball court at a time, specifically for this year’s World Cup of Basketball (formerly the World Championships) in Spain and the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. And the Warriors have not one, not two, not three, but four players who made the cut. That’s an NBA best, which obviously means the Warriors are the best team at being American. Steph Curry (who might be part of even more good news later today when All-Star starters are announced) and Andre Iguodala are among the 14 players who have previous national team service. Curry played on the 2010 World Championship squad. Iguodala won gold with the team in London in 2012. David Lee and Klay Thompson are among 14 players that are newcomers to the national team.
