IntheOT:
Steve Blake was not satisfied when a fan asked him to make a few more jumpers during the Lakers loss to the Clippers on Saturday night. It just so happened to be someone pretty famous in Steve Jackson the son of a famous shoe maven who created LA Gear. Today he received a $25,000 fine for his actions and felt some remorse apologizing directly to Jackson with these comments:“It’s an unfortunate misunderstanding and a heat-of-the-moment type of thing, it’s one of those things I’m not proud of, the way I handled it, and I look forward to growing as a person and moving forward from it.”Incase you missed what took place on the court over the weekend or want to see the entertainment once again check out the video below:Watch this video on YouTube Embedded with WP YouTube Lyte.I have no problem what so ever with the way Blake handled this situation. He realized a mistake was made and apologized. It’s not like he did anything that awful…oohh big deal he swore at a fan. Maybe he deserved it!!! Emotions clearly got the best of him. At least he cared enough to even react some NBA players seem like they would just laugh it not caring at all. Bottom line is this Jackson kid was probably acting like a young punk spoiled kid who has more money then Blake due to his dad. It’s not like Blake isn’t trying his best giving a tremendous effort. Furthermore, it’s not like he has a history in the NBA with situations like this. Give the man a break and move on.
