In July when the Boston Celtics brought in the key pieces to their blockbuster trade with Brooklyn for a press conference Gerald Wallace was not with them. When the newest Celtics began to trickle into town earlier this month and immediately began to participate in the Celtics' various community service efforts there was still no Wallace sighting. Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge quipped that like many of us he too was looking forward to seeing the 6-foot-7 forward. A Wallace sighting appears to be on the horizon with C's coach Brad Stevens telling reporters Thursday morning at a Coaches vs Cancer breakfast event that Wallace was expected in town today. "I've shared texts with him and talked with him real briefly" Stevens said. "I look forward to seeing him today." And the Celtics wouldn't mind seeing him regain the form he had a couple years ago when he was one of the better high-energy multiple-effort forwards in the N...

Rajon Rondo tweeted this photograph during his acupuncture session earlier today. He said the procedure helps release spasm and reduce pain. Meanwhile, ESPN’s Marc Stein unveiled his first power rankings of the season. The Celtics debut at #27 and you’ll never guess who Stein says will be traded: They have to trade Rajon Rondo. You know it, I know it, everyone in basketball knows...

According to a report from Chris Forsberg of ESPN, Gerald Wallace has yet to appear in Boston.  In fact, not even General Manager Danny Ainge has spoken to him.  In July, the Celtics introduced the new members to the squad that were added via the blockbuster trade involving long-time Boston stars Kevin Garnett and Paul ...The post Gerald Wallace Hasn’t Shown Himself in Boston...

Celtics fans are on pins and needles anticipating Rajon Rondo‘s return from a torn ACL. It appears Rondo is, too. Rondo tweeted a photo of himself getting acupuncture on his right leg and surgically repaired right knee on Friday, in response to a fan’s question about how his day was going. “It’s going,” Rondo responded. Rondo suffered his knee injury in a double-overtime...

Rajon Rondo may not be ready to take the court for training camp or for opening night, but he's getting into the spirit of the season with a question and answer session with his fans on Twitter. There are some interesting answers. Some are not surprising, like Perk, KG and Josh Smith are his favorite NBA players. Others are surprising, including why he picked his number....

Gerald Wallace yet to show himself as a Celtic

Back in July when the Boston Celtics formally introduced the players acquired from the Brooklyn Nets as part of this summer’s nine-player blockbuster swap small forward Gerald Wallace was absent excused from the press conference to attend the start of his youth basketball camp in his native Alabama. Seventy-three days later with training camp less than a week away the former...

Marc Stein ranks Celtics 4th worst team in basketball; "They have to trade Rondo"

Photo by Jared Wickerham/Getty Images Earlier this summer I did a fairly comprehensive breakdown of the NBA, ranking all 30 teams after a summer of moves. I put the Celtics 22nd, 9th in the East, expecting them (if they avoid a major move) to finish right around 30 wins this season. However, Marc Stein of ESPN disagrees pretty strongly, instead putting the Cs among the very worst...

Celtics Announce Partnership With 98.5 The Sports Hub for Radio Broadcast Rights

Boston’s “home for sports” just got a bit more crowded. Celtics president Rich Gotham announced a new partnership with 98.5 The Sports Hub on Thursday that hands broadcasting rights over to The Sports Hub after the team’s previous radio home, WEEI, was unable to work out a new deal. 98.5, a subsidiary of CBS Radio Boston, will carry all regular-season and postseason games...

Celtics Take a Duck Boat Tour

When a team in Boston wins a championship, they get a parade around the city in the famous duck boats. It was 6 years that Doc Rivers asked Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen to meet him early in the morning to for a ride around Boston on a duck boat. Whether that was them motivation for the championship they won that season or whether the 3 players were already motivated...

When Should Rajon Rondo Return?

The NBA season is still more than a month away, and I can’t take my eyes off of my left knee. Specifically, the four inch scar that begins at the bottom of my kneecap and the two small hole-sized scars on either side.   It’s amazing what little remains of the two surgeries on my knee. Sure, it won’t ever be 100 percent healthy again, but I’m still amazed at how far we...

Camp questions: Will Avery Bradley's offense ever catch up to his defense?

Photo by Brian Babineau/NBAE via Getty Images Coming down the home stretch in our "Camp questions" series. This is the 13th edition, and today we're focusing on Avery Bradley. About Avery Bradley: Believe it or not, Bradley was the top ranked player in the 2009 High School class, ahead of future #1 pick (and $80 million man) John Wall. But a pedestrian Freshman season...

Where is Gerald Wallace?

Getty Images It's been a little over two months since the least inspiring photo-op of all time.  Missing from the above picture taken back in mid-July is Gerald Wallace.  At the time he was said to be busy with his basketball camp.  According to Danny Ainge, Wallace is still missing.  Quotes via WEEI's Ben Rohrbach: “I’m anxious to meet Gerald. I’ve met him before...
