Greg Oden announced his intentions to sign with the Miami Heat earlier this week and DeShawn Stevenson thought it was a pretty good idea for himself. The Atlanta Hawks recently waived Stevenson and the 32-year-old took to Twitter to announce his desired destination. Stevenson asking LeBron James for help creates an ironic situation given the feud that took place between the two back in 2008 when Stevenson called James "overrated."

Greg Oden regenerates the Heat

A couple weeks ago, I wrote an article about Greg Oden and the impact he could make as a healthier player (he likely won’t be anything near what he would have been).  I had suggested some possible teams that would benefit from signing Greg Oden since it was a low risk-high reward situation.  The Miami Heat was the first team I brought up, and the Miami Heat it will be. The one...

Multiple reports on Friday night confirmed that the Miami Heat have signed the oft-injured Greg Oden to a two-year deal. Year two of the contract is a player option. Oden, who was drafted No. 1 overall in 2007 by the Portland Trailblazers, never developed into the dominant center many believed he would be in the NBA. Towering at seven feet, the Ohio State product has suffered through...

Three microfracture knee surgeries later, he signed a free-agent contract with...
