Sugar Shane comes up big, Grizz win despite lengthy Bonner’s attempted heroics

I’ve been known as something of a prophet for much of my life. The outcome of game 1 gave credibility to this label. Coach Hollins and myself wanted this matchup and now you see why. The Grizzzzz shocked the world(not me) with a 101-98 victory over the Spurs in San Antonio. This is a good sign considering road teams that win Game 1 go on to win the series 56.6 percent of the time. Thank you John Hollinger for that statistic. Though Memphis is the 8th they have an identical record with the Spurs after January 1st. Think the boring fans of San Anton are nervous about some of these statistics? We get it, we get it, the Spurs were without Manu Ginobili, the man with the worst bald spot in the NBA, but as Fire Marshall Bill would say, “Let me show you somethin!!” The Grizz got a horrible game out of Tony Allen, who has been their second best player since joining the starting lineup.
