Telfair appeared in 37 games with the Minnesota Timberwolves last season, averaging 7.2 points and 3.0 assists.
In seven NBA seasons, he has averaged 7.8 points and 3.8 assists with five different teams.

The Phoenix Suns today waived guard Vince Carter and forward Gani Lawal, the team has announced.
Carter last season averaged 13.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists in the 51 games he played for Phoenix in 2010-11. He also played 22 games for the Orlando Magic.
Lawal last season played just two minutes of one game.
