The "wow, David Kahn really likes point guards" class of jokes was starting to wear a little thin. Sure, he'd signed what seemed to be dozens of them over the course of his tenure in Minnesota (I'm not sure of the actual number. You can go here to try to count for yourself. The Phoenix Suns today waived guard Vince Carter and forward Gani Lawal, the team has announced.
Carter last season averaged 13.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists in the 51 games he played for Phoenix in 2010-11. He also played 22 games for the Orlando Magic.
Lawal last season played just two minutes of one game.
