According to the Philadephia 76ers PR Director Michael Preston, Thaddeus young is listed as a “Game-Time Decision” for Wednesday nights game against the Houston Rockets.
Young was hurt hussling for a loose ball late in Monday nights 97-85 win over Chicago.
Young’s injury is a Right Adductor strain which is a groin strain/injury that occurs when there is a “forced push-off or side-to-side motion” of the hips or thigh. The treatment for such an injury is usually rest.
As stated before, Young injured himself last night going after a loose ball late in the game. Head coach Doug Collins was worried Young had “blown-out” his knee, an injury Collins himself suffered. In Collins’ word he was “sick” at the thought of Young sustaining that kind of injury. Though, when Young stated it was his “groin,” Collins jokingly said “Oh, well, good” when speaking to the media after the game.
