No one is going to argue with the fact that this year’s first round of the NBA playoffs hasn’t exactly been the most exciting of all time. However, the halftime shows are really pulling out all the stops to keep the fans entertained. During halftime of Monday night’s Nets and Bulls playoff game a speed painting artist painted Deron Williams during the 20 minute break. The Nets won 110-91.

Brook Lopez has a funny reason for wanting the season to continue, aside from the obvious reasons of wanting his team to win.
Brooklyn Nets guard C.J. Watson blew a wide-open dunk in the fourth quarter of Saturday's NBA Eastern Conference first round Game 4 against the Chicago Bulls.
It happened with 3:24 left in regulation with the Nets holding a 109-95 lead, and a bucket by Watson could have put the game out of reach and tied the series at 2-2. Instead, the Bulls pulled off an unbelievable rally...
Brook Lopez had 28 points and 10 rebounds, Deron Williams added 23 points and 10 assists, and the Brooklyn Nets beat Chicago 110-91 on Monday night, cutting the Bulls' lead to 3-2 in their first-round playoff series.
Andray Blatche scored 10 of his 13 points in the fourth quarter and Gerald Wallace had consecutive baskets down the stretch as the Nets finally pulled away in a...
Nate Robinson has a very low center of gravity which allows him to do things like cross up defenders without losing control. Nate’s latest victim was Deron Williams of the Nets on Monday night during Game 5 of their Playoff series. He also finished the play with a very nice circus shot.

The Nets didn’t watch tape of the Game 4 collapse and ensuing triple OT Bulls victory to prepare for their Game 5 win. Head coach P.J. Carlesimo instead had his team watch footage of Bulls beat writer, Joe Cowley (Chicago Sun-Times), calling the Nets “heartless” and “gutless” in hopes of added motivation.
According to The Brooklyn Game:
Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams...
SHAKE HIM OFF
One of the great things that has come from the Brooklyn Nets/Chicago Bulls series is the re-emergence of Bulls guard Nate Robinson. In the third quarter of game four, Robinson showed Nets guard Deron Williams that his speed might be the most dangerous thing about him. Watch as Nate crosses Williams over and scores on a scooping lay-up:
Typically this late into a NBA season, there has to be something motivating a player for the long haul of the playoffs. Whether that be the chase for that coveted championship ring, a new contract, or simply just the love of the game, there is something internally that motivates a player.
Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez has positioned himself as one of the best big men in...
The Nets took advantage of opportunities in Game 5.
The Brooklyn Nets won Game 5 by the same formula that worked for them in their series-opening win against the Chicago Bulls.
Let’s take a closer look at how the Nets staved off elimination.
Key Player: Deron Williams had it much easier vs Nate Robinson
With Kirk Hinrich out of the lineup in Game 5, Nate Robinson drew the start...
The Brooklyn Nets signed Billy King to a contract extension last week to remain general manager, but sources expect Mikhail Prokhorov to again pursue Phil Jackson.
Prokhorov reached out to Jackson following the dismissal of Avery Johnson.
Jackson is interested in an advisory front office position and not in returning to coaching.
C.J. Watson's missed fastbreak dunk attempt with 3:17 left in the 4th quarter (and the Nets up 14), sent this game from easy Brooklyn win to collapse for the ages. I'm not blaming the Bulls' end-of-game 16-2 run for the loss, but it certainly played a role, as the Nets could have been up 16 had CJ converted
Incredible. I tweeted that at some point...
Nate Robinson and CJ Watson found themselves playing major minutes in the middle of a thrilling match-up between the Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals. Watch below as things got a little chippy and emotions boiled over between the two point guards.
Chicago couldn't stop Brook at all tonight, simply put. This entire series has continued to act as a showcase of his clearly elite-level talent
I'll keep it short because it's late and I got back from the game pretty late too, but the Brooklyn Nets--facing elimination from the 2013 playoffs--stepped up in a massive way to hold on and beat the pesky...
No use looking back now for the Brooklyn Nets.
Game 4 hurt, physically and mentally, but there's nothing they can do about it. The missed free throws, the blown boxouts, cost them what should have been a victory, and they realize things would be a whole lot different if they were coming home tied at two games apiece instead of trailing the Chicago Bulls 3-1.
Brooklyn Nets/Chicago Bulls: Game 4
- Feel like this series has been impossible to predict because we do not know which Bulls team will show up.
- Finally got a “fight” in the playoffs. Not the series I would have predicted, but I will take it!
- Nate Robinson is singlehandedly bringing the Bulls back in this game. My NBA history is not good, but has there...
