When you go on the road and win 2 out of the 3 games, you can say you had a good trip. That is what happened with the Cleveland Cavaliers who only lost to the Miami Heat in this 3 game road trip. Last night the Cavaliers beat the Chicago Bulls and they did it without the help of Kyrie Irving who sat out with a sore knee. The Cavaliers pulled off the 101-98 win over Chicago with some great help from Dion Waiters who scored 25 points in the game. This rookie has stepped it up on this road trip and has played some outstanding basketball. The Cavaliers as a team have played good basketball since mid January. They seem to be finally getting it. They understand they have to stay focused for the entire 48 minutes. The Cavaliers are getting some great help off the bench, last night Wayne Ellington led the way for Cleveland’s bench scoring 13 against the Bulls. Another guy that is really stepping it up big for the Cavs is Shaun Livingston who scored 15 in last nights game. He is a guy that c...

NBA News: Cavaliers and Omri Casspi in talks surrounding buyout

The Cleveland Cavaliers appear willing to meet the wishes of small forward Omri Casspi as the two parties are reportedly engaged in talks surrounding a buyout. Rookie Dion Waiters scored 23 points, Shaun Livingston added 15 and the Cleveland Cavaliers overcame a horrendous start and playing without injured All-Star Kyrie Irving for the second straight game, beating the Toronto Raptors 103-92 on Wednesday night. The Cavs made only one of their first 15 shots, but recovered and finished February at 7-5, their first winning month since March...

WFNY Stats & Info: Continued improvements by the Cavs

Despite Sunday night’s last-minute loss to the Miami Heat, the Cleveland Cavs are 13-15 (.464) since Dec. 22. That’s a tremendous sign of improvement for a franchise that previously was 45-131 (.256) in the last 2.5 seasons. I’ve tackled this subject several times before — notably, in The Diff last Wednesday. But again, what are some fun stats around this recent stretch of...

Kyrie Irving Injury: Cavaliers' guard undergoes MRI

The Cleveland Cavaliers don't have much to draw fans to the arena with.  They don't win games.  They don't have LeBron James.  The good people of Cleveland have little reason to show up and support the Cavs at all.  That is, unless Kyrie Irving is playing.  Irving is a show in and of himself.  Unfortunately, he is out again with an apparent injury.According to...

Richard Hamilton's birthday cake is extremely epic

Featuring four different miniature versions himself playing poker (alongside a ring, a mask, and some Jordan kicks) Richard Hamilton's 35th birthday cake from a few days ago is clearly one of the greatest and most puzzling pastries of all time. Happy late birthday, Rip. Enjoy yourself (pun intended)!(Courtesy of Ball Don't Lie)

Rip Hamilton’s birthday cake was awesome and insanely detailed (Picture)

Rip Hamilton recently celebrated his 35th birthday, and the Chicago Bulls guard finally got around to sharing a photo of his amazing birthday cake. Rip turned 35 on Feb. 14 and celebrated the weekend before his big day. On Sunday, he posted a photo on Instagram of his awesome birthday cake. The cake depicts four figurines of Hamilton seated at a table playing cards. Each figurine...

Checking in with Luke Walton and some thoughts on Shaun and Dion

Highlighted by his epic performance down the stretch against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday, Luke Walton emerged as a potential candidate to soon enter my personal Hall of Fame for random Cavaliers to go on the most memorable runs in recent history. Then, following Wednesday’s win over the Toronto Raptors, Walton officially joined that group headlined by the legendary Lester...

Derrick Rose’s Health, Celtics’ Newfound Stability Among Biggest Factors Impacting Eastern Conference Race (Podcast)

Derrick Rose is on the comeback trail, and he can’t return fast enough as far as the Chicago Bulls are concerned. Despite competing as a top team in the Eastern Conference through the early part of the season, Tom Thibodeau‘s squad has fallen on hard times as of late and it’s obvious to see how much the team misses its All-Star point guard. While Rose has stated that he won’t...

Cavs (18-38) at Bulls (32-24) - Game 57

OPENING TIP The Bulls have won just three of their previous nine and are averaging a paltry 87.6 points in the process. But the Cavs always seem to offer a solution, as the Bulls have beaten them 11 straight, and are basically a matchup nightmare. Worse, the Cavs will be without All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving, out with a sore right knee. Venue: United Center, Chicago. TVRadio...
