To say the Lakers were impatient with Mike Brown this season is an understatement. After just five games, a report surfaced that his job was in “immediate jeopardy”. Then hours later, Brown was fired. And we must reiterate this all happened FIVE games into the season. Months have passed and the Lakers still aren’t good, but GM Mitch Kupchak decided on Tuesday to finally pull back the curtain on the Lakers’ thinking when they decided to fire Brown after five games. Kupchak joined John Feinstein on CBS Radio on Tuesday and explained that the Lakers’ impatience with Brown was due in part to the failing health of Lakers owner Jerry Buss. “The one thing that was a big factor is our lack of patience,” Kupchak said. “When we made the changes we made in the offseason, we really did it with a two- or maybe even a three-year window, probably a two-year window to do our best and win a championship.
