After losing the first two games in the Western Conference Finals to the San Antonio Spurs it seemed like there was no way that they Oklahoma City Thunder could win 4 out of the next 5 games. With the Thunder’s game 6 107 to 99 the Thunder won four in a row over the Spurs.
The Thunder were down 15 at halftime but they outscored the Spurs by 14 in the third quarter. Then they finished the Spurs in the 4th quarter. I think the age caught up to the Spurs and they couldn’t handle the youth of the Thunder.
Leading the way once again for the Thunder was superstar and scoring champ Kevin Durant. Durant finished the game with 34 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. He was also 12 of 15 from the free throw line. Right now Durant is best player in the NBA and he is only 23 years old. He has that clutch gene that LeBron James doesn’t have.
“I never want to take those moments for granted,” Durant said. “I know it’s just one step closer to our dreams, but it felt good.”
