Word out of the Seattle Times is that Howard Schultz will sue Clay Bennett over violation of the "good faith effort" agreement entered into in conjunction with the sale of the Sonics. Jerry Brewer thinks this is mostly hogwash. I think Jerry has a huge dome. As all of us following this soap opera know, the Okies were recently done in by being a bit trigger happy with the send button (side note, mildly ironic that these prairie folk were done in by emails? Are we sure these weren't sent by telegram?). Not much that could make this any more entertaining. As of my last count, we have swindling, regional biases, unrequited bromance, billionaire egos, political chicanery, hoodwinking, lawsuits, protests, and quarter-million dollar fines. Anything else? Is it too late to drum up a teenage pregnancy and some paternity tests? Seriously, I'm so entertained right now that, at times, I forgot this is about basketball. 60+ losses? Who cares?! I get much more enjoyment out of my hatred for Clay Bennett and David Stern than I would from a first round playoff exit.
