An insider says Blake Griffin and Kendall Jenner "were never serious" amid rumors that things between the two celebrities have "slowed down."

Word of a potential romance between the Los Angeles Clippers superstar and reality-show star first arose when they were spotted together back in August. The two have since been photographed on several occasions, ushering in the belief that things were starting to get serious. Not so, says the so-called insider.

“They were hanging out but both knew that it wasn’t going to be a long-term exclusive relationship,” the insider told E!. “They are still in contact and hangout here and there when they are both in town because they truly have a lot of fun together. Kendall always says that Blake makes her laugh and that’s why she loves being around him.”

Another source tells E! that “they were hanging out a lot and things have slowed down in the past month or so.”

The insider also added even if a serious relationship never develops, it appears the two will remain friends. The source added that Jenner has a lot on her plate and isn’t really looking for a serious relationship.”

So, there you have it. It goes without saying that not only does Jenner have “a lot on her plate,” so does Griffin. The Clippers star is of course a major character in the ugly scene that transpired during and after a showdown with the Rockets earlier this week. The NBA is currently investigating the events of Monday night, specifically as it pertains to a locker room incident after the game.
