The Sports Gag:
Ok, world. I think we’ve all had enough of Harlem Shake. Right? I know I have. Enough ‘Div. III Bumblef#ck Tech does Harlem Shake.’ Enough ‘Dementia riddled geriatrics do Harlem Shake.’ Just enough!
And then what happens? Professional sports teams getting involved in this nonsense. Come on, folks. So, the Miami Heat threw their hat in this annoying ring last week. Thankfully, in an act of mild humor and wit, the Minnesota Timberwolves came up with their own response to the Heat’s Harlem Shake. Unfortunately, this is likely the only shot at beating the Heat they’ll get.

The Miami Heat have signed 40-year-old, Juwan Howard, to a second 10-day contract. The 18-year veteran has yet to play since signing his first 10-day contract on March 2nd.
According to Heat:
The Miami HEAT announced today that they have signed forward Juwan Howard to a second 10-day contract. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
He did not appear in a game during...
Is there another dynamic duo that is playing as lights out as LeBron James and Dwayne Wade right now? Maybe Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook? Kobe Bryant and >insert name
No. The two stars from the Miami Heat are playing some incredible basketball this season. As evidence I offer this clip from the end of the first half of Sunday's game with the Indiana Pacers:
Whiskey Tango tried this before in 2011 and it didn’t work out too well. This time they have a little bit smarter promotion.
The Heat are on an 18 game winning streak and there aren’t a lot of games in the regular season, so this is a more reasonable way to give out free drinks and get some free press.
Here are the details.
The next time the Miami Heat loses a game, we will pay...
MINNEAPOLIS He really is a small man to command so much of the spotlight.
An NBA court measures 4,700 square feet. Ricky Rubio measures 6-foot-4, 180 pounds soaking wet, and yet on Tuesday night, he took over every last inch of the hardwood.
On Tuesday, Minnesota's point guard darling did what he's been flirting with for weeks. He logged his first career triple-double...
Mario Chalmers scored 26 points, Chris Bosh added 24 and the Miami Heat won their 18th straight game, easily topping the Indiana Pacers 105-91 on Sunday night.
The 18-game streak ties the seventh longest in NBA history, and is the league's best since the Boston Celtics won 19 straight during the 2008-09 season. Miami will try for No. 19 when it hosts Atlanta on Tuesday night...
Dwyane Wade scored 23 points and the Miami Heat extended their winning streak to 19 games, leading wire-to-wire in beating the Atlanta Hawks 98-81 on Tuesday night.
LeBron James scored 15 and Chris Bosh and Mario Chalmers added 14 apiece for the Heat, who matched the fifth-longest streak in NBA history. They will try for their 20th straight win on Wednesday at Philadelphia, the...
Tweet The Miami Heat knocked off the Atlanta Hawks 98-81 Tuesday to notch their 19th consecutive victory behind 23 points (9-18 FG), 4 rebounds, and 6 assists from Dwyane Wade. As the Heat continue to roll through opposition the confidence in the team among fans is nearing an all-time high, if it’s not there [...]
If the playoffs started today, the eight-seeded Milwaukee Bucks would take on the top-seeded Miami Heat, and Brandon Jennings would be perfectly fine with that, in fact, he prefers it.
According to Charles Gardner, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
“The two games that we played Miami so far, we matched up well against them,” Jennings said. “If you ask me, that’s who I would want...
MINNEAPOLIS When the Timberwolves tip off against Dallas at 6 p.m. Sunday, it will have been just 21 hours since the beginning of their most recent game.
The schedule this weekend is what Rick Adelman referred to as "the perfect storm." Minnesota played in Denver -- in the thin air, to boot -- at 7 p.m. MT last night, just hours before daylight savings time kicked in...
The matchup of the game between the San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves will be between starting shooting guards Danny Green and Ricky Rubio.
In two games, Green has shot 60% (3-5) from the corner 3-point shot and 60% (3-5) from the wing 3-point shot against the Timberwolves with Rubio on the court. Green has made that shot his specialty this season as he's shooting...
