MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves' younger players will be well-traveled already when the regular season rolls around.
Only two dates on the team's seven-game preseason schedule, announced Monday, feature home affairs. The Timberwolves will host CSKA Moscow on Oct. 7 and the Toronto Raptors five days later.
The slate includes two neutral-site games, three road contests and two separate sojourns to Canada. Minnesota takes on Milwaukee on Oct. 10 at The Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. and heads to Montreal for an Oct. 20 tilt with Boston at the Bell Centre.
The Timberwolves play Toronto twice, traveling to the Air Canada Centre on Oct. 9. They also have road dates with Philadelphia and Detroit to close out the exhibition portion of their schedule.
Minnesota will open the preseason against Moscow as part of the Euroleague American Tour 2013 and head to Montreal to square off with Boston during the NBA's Canadian Series.
Ticket information will be released later, according to the Timberwolves.
The full NBA schedule will be revealed at 5 p.m. Tuesday during an NBA TV special.
