Tonight looks to be one heck of a challenge for Dwane Casey as his starting point guard, backup point guard and third string point guard won’t suit up. Instead of having Jose Calderon, Jerryd Bayless, and Gary Forbes at his disposal, Casey will need to lean on Ben Uzoh, fresh off signing his second 10-day contract, and Justin Dentmon, who signed his first 10-day contract with the team earlier this morning. Gulp. “We’re going with Ben (Uzoh) because he knows what we want to do,” Dwane Casey told the media before the game against Cleveland. The fact Casey is leaning on a guy that has been with the team for ten days shows just how dire the point guard position currently is for Toronto. “It would be very difficult to run a team that has been together now for most of the season and now come into the mix with two weeks left,” Casey said of Dentmon. “You can run a pick-and-roll and a mid-screen roll, flex, or whatever, but just the second or third option would give him problems.
