This past Monday Tracy McGrady announced his retirement from the NBA and as soon as he did the debate began. Should the talented yet injury plagued 7-time all-star and 2-time scoring champion be inducted into the Hall of Fame? According to McGrady he’s put up the numbers to get the honor.
H/T: For The Win
“I think my numbers match up with some of the guys that are in the Hall of Fame,” McGrady said. “Whether or not I get in or not, it really doesn’t matter to me. I’m a guy from Auburndale, Florida (with) a population of 10,000 people, grew up in a pretty bad neighborhood, so to me, I’m Hall of Fame just by making it through my career. That’s Hall of Fame to me.”
What a wonderful perspective McGrady has on the situation. Whether he’s inducted into the Hall Of Fame or not (which I think he will be) overcoming circumstances that would seem impossible to most and sustaining a 16-year NBA career void of off-court controversy, is certainly commendable and Hall of Fame worthy on a much larger and more important scale.

It appears San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker is pitching yet another product, this time a compact SUV by Renault Koleos.
So, there's a jungle -- a jungle town, actually. And Parker is just chilling, driving around a presumably deserted downtown area. And a basketball is following him. Wait, you don't follow?

When San Antonio Spurs' Matt Bonner isn't trying to sell you carrots, he is exercising his managerial skills as a CEO. The CEO of GY&K that is.

Professional athletes like to spend their off season in various kinds of ways. For some it is vacationing in a tropical, while others go back to the home country to unwind.
For Patty Mills, this off season getaway took him back home to his native country of Australia to play with Team Australia at the Oceania Tournament.

That huge sigh of relief heard around the globe a few days ago was from San Antonio Spurs fans when news came out that Tony Parker's recent knee injury was not serious.
It was quite the scare for Spurs fans (and perhaps the coaching staff) considering he is the primary threat on the court. It is safe to say the Spurs go as Parker goes.
However, according to Tony himself...
With enough editing, and a heavy soundtrack, you can make any NBA player seem like a legitimate superstar.
Even Nando De Colo, who boasts career averages of 3.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in one season.
I'm not necessarily knocking De Colo; he's a NBA caliber player, obviously, and his main deterrent is the fluidity of the San Antonio...
These days it seems that almost every NBA player has a different offseason workout regimen and it appears that San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan have taken boxing.

It may not have been the picture perfect way for Cory Joseph, Andrew Nicholson and Canada to start off FIBA Americas, but a relatively easy and dominating 18-point win will have to do. Canada got to 1-0 with an 85-64 victory in the opening game of the FIBA Americas Championship in Caracas, Venezuela.
Cory Joseph of the San Antonio Spurs was the undoubted star of the game, scoring...
