The biggest deal of at the trade deadline was the one that didn't happen, as Dwight Howard opted to pass up his early termination option and remain with the Magic for another season. Orlando reportedly had other deals lined up to improve Howard's supporting cast, but none happened before the deadline. Expect them to be busy this summer. As for the deals that did happen, and the fantasy implications thereof... Obviously, the must-get player today is Ramon Sessions, who will be taking over as the Lakers' starting point guard any day now. Sessions' role became even more important when the Lakers dealt Derek Fisher to the Rockets; Fish might get a buy-out from the Rockets, but he won't be able to return to the Lakers this season. The other must-add is Golden State's Klay Thompson, who will take over as the Warriors' starting two now that Monta Ellis is a Milwaukee Buck. Andris Biedrins will return to the starting lineup too... but even with 20-30 min...

Lin says he owes D'Antoni "a lot" for starting Linsanity

No one was more stunned about New York Knicks head coach Mike D'Antoni's resignation than the man at the center of all of the Linsanity— Jeremy Lin, himself. "I was surprised," Lin said of D'Antoni's departure.  "I know some people were talking about it and what-not, but I didn't know the reality of it.  I figured after the shoot-around he...

Jeremy Lin will likely have a reduced role under Mike Woodson

Jeremy Lin was able to enjoy so much success with the Knicks when he was inserted into the starting lineup because of Mike D’Antoni’s system. D’Antoni’s offensive system is notoriously catered toward guards, so one concern for Knicks fans now that Mike Woodson has taken over should be how Lin is going to be utilized. One thing seems certain: he will be used less. “It will...

D'Antoni's departure a stunning end in New York

Mike D'Antoni waited nearly four years before he could re-create the high-octane success he had in Phoenix, and for three exhilarating weeks in February, the New York Knicks were the NBA's team to watch. They played fast and fun, sharing the ball and sharing laughs, and their coach enjoyed the ride as much as anyone. Just as quickly, it was gone again. And now, so too is...

Linsanity is crashing back to earth as the Knicks implode

Harvard-Vanderbilt Preview

It's one thing to be the Harvard of the South. It's another thing to be Harvard. Although there's hardly time this week to break down the subtle and not-so-subtle differences in the classrooms at Vanderbilt and the school that gave us Jeremy Lin, the gap - if there is one - between top SEC and Ivy League basketball talent will be on display Thursday in a second-round...
