The Blazers recently lost back-to-back games at home and while they have been a horrid away team this season they have a legit chance to get back in the W column in the Big Easy tonight facing a Hornets’ team that has lost 7 straight and is only 1-9 in their last 10 games.

*NBA ATS Matchup Report*

The Blazers lost to the Rockets in their last game because they played terrible D and they were dominated on the boards. However, that may not happen again since the Hornets rank 29th in the league in scoring and they only rank 21st in rebounds per game.

Portland has lost 4 straight on the road, but at least they play a Hornets squad that has averaged 81.75 ppg in their last 4 games.

The Hornets already lost to the Blazers at home this season 84-77 with LaMarcus Aldridge (23.3 ppg) leading the way. However, after he finally got some props and made his first All Star team he scored a season low 13 points in the Blazers’ last loss.

One of the reasons the Hornets are losing is that they are without star Eric Gordon, and F Carl Landry, and PF Jason Smith may miss another game with a concussion.

For the Hornets to snap their long losing streak they will need good games from Jarrett Jack (15.2 ppg) and the entire defense, as Jack is the only healthy player averaging in double figures for the Hornets.

Portland TrailBlazers vs. New Orleans Hornets Betting Lines & Handicapping

Gerald Wallace (13.5 ppg) and 6th man Jamal Crawford (14 ppg) have struggled on the road this season, but the weak and banged up Hornets’ team may be just what the Dr’ ordered.

Trail Blazers vs. Hornets Free Prediction

This season the Blazers are 13-12-1 ATS and they have an O/U record of 11-15 and the Hornets are 10-16 ATS with an O/U record of 11-15.

  • The Blazers are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 road games.
  • 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games as a road favorite, and they have an Under record of 10-3 in their last 13 road games.
  • The Hornets are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games.
  • 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
  • And they have an Under record of 8-2 in their last 10 games as a home underdog.

Jason’s Pick: The Blazers suck on the road and the Hornets suck period. Tough call, but still have to go with Portland since they are a playoff team and the Hornets have a good chance to get the #1 pick in the next draft.
