For the second day in a row, I'm riding the coattails of a more industrious TrueHoop Network blog. Over at Truth About It, Kyle Weide, Rashad Mobley, and I each posed a question for the 3-on-3 previewing tonight's game between the Wizards and Hawks: Rashad Mobley: The Hawks lack a significant scoring threat off the bench, and Wizards are lacking a veteran presence in the back court to mentor/guide/spell John Wall. Jordan Crawford could be that bench threat for the Hawks, and Kirk Hinrich (when healthy) could play that role again for the Wizards. The draft pick part of the trade that brought Chris Singleton to D.C. notwithstanding, would Crawford and Hinrich be more effective on their old teams?Bret LaGree: Hawks fans generally agreed that Jordan Crawford was talented but whether or not he could use his talents within the structure of a good basketball team proved divisive. Wizards’ Jordan Crawford returns to Atlanta a starter
Jordan Crawford is returning to Atlanta in a much different — and better position — than he left. Crawford was a seldom-used reserve on a playoff team, settling for garbage-time minutes whenever the Hawks had gotten enough out of all-star in Joe Johnson and sixth-man extraordinaire Jamal Crawford.
But when the Wizards face the Hawks on Wednesday, Jordan Crawford is a starting...
Portland Trailblazers 111, Denver Nuggets 102
The Blazers shot 51.9% from the floor and they outrebounded them 50-30, which explains the ease of victory in this game. Wesley Matthews (25 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal), Raymond Felton (23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists) and Jamal Crawford (22 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal) led the way for the Trailblazers in this game. Gerald Wallace (13 points, 6...
Wizards Season Preview–The Reserves
The Wiz lost by 33 points in their preseason opener! I gotta tell you, very seldom does a time come around when I know a team as a whole isn’t trying, but that first game was something to behold. I’ll write that game off as first-game jitters or something…No where to go but up!
They followed that stinker up with another loss to the 76er’s. Although the second game...
Wizards injury update: Maurice Evans ‘available’; Jan Vesely doesn’t travel to Atlanta
Maurice Evans, who was acquired with Jordan Crawford from the Atlanta Hawks in the trade involving Kirk Hinrich, was unable to practice on Tuesday after having his knee drained the day before. Evans, 33, re-signed with the Wizards after averaging 9.7 points in his two-month stint with the team. He is still trying to get back in basketball shape after helping the negotiate the collective...
Small Lineup Gives Blazers Most Offensive Power
Portland's small lineup of LaMarcus Aldridge, Gerald Wallace, Jamal Crawford, Wesley Matthews and Nicolas Batum has the most offensive weapons.
