When Andre Drummond chose to play for UConn this season rather than spend a year at prep school as he originally planned to do, he immediately become one of the top prospects for the 2012 NBA Draft. Drummond has seen his share of ups and downs as a freshman, but has shown flashes of being a potential NBA franchise center.
At 6-11, 275 pounds, Drummond certainly looks the part. He is long, athletic, strong and certainly possesses an NBA-build. What is really scary though is that Drummond won’t turn 19 years old until August meaning his body is not even close to maturing.
His maturation as a player will ultimately decide whether Drummond becomes the next Dwight Howard or the next Kwame Brown. For the game Howard finished...

As my regular readers have probably noticed I essentially steer clear of them completely, and it drives me nuts when someone uses them as the sole reasoning behind their judgement of a player. This morning, I got in a brief, surprising Twitter argument with a writer from Sports Illustrated, who tweeted...
Dwight Howard had 13 points and 13 rebounds and the Orlando Magic survived a late rally to hand the Portland Trail Blazers their first loss at home, 107-104 on Wednesday night.
OAKLAND, Calif. - The Orlando Magic beat the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night, 117-109, at Oracle Arena...
Get well, Kwame. Nine games and $7 million in your pocket. Via Warriors press release: “Results of an MRI performed yesterday on Golden State Warriors center Kwame Brown revealed a torn pectoralis major (the large chest muscle that attaches to his right shoulder), which will require him to undergo surgery within the next few days, the team announced today. The surgery, which...
Dwight Howard broke Wilt Chamberlain's nearly 50-year-old NBA record for most free throw attempts in a game, making 21 of 39 in the Orlando Magic's 117-109 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night.
