Found December 30, 2012 on Celtics Green ...a boston celtics blog.:
Ouch! That one really hurt. If you haven't heard already, the Celtics went to Oakland last night and were dominated by the home town Warriors. I know that the Warriors are good, but the Celtics just looked pathetic. They weren't playing any defense, they weren't running any plays(possibly because Rondo was out), and they weren't making their open shots. With the loss, the Celtics fall to 14-15 overall and 2-6 in their last 8 games. They need to do something quick because they really look lost out there. I looked long and hard for today's USOTN, and I settled on two. The first would be the stats put up by Jared Sullinger. Sullinger hasn't done much recently besides the Nets game, but seemed to know what he was doing last night. In 24 minutes of play, Sully had 12 points on 6/8 shooting with 8 rebounds. It wasn't a good game to be good in, but I won't complain about him slowly improving. The second stat goes to the C's offensive rebounding. Despite struggling basically all year, Boston pulled down 13 offensive boards to Golden State's 5. Again, this was a bad game to do good in, but I'll take it. I said earlier that the Celtics couldn't make their shots, which probably costed them the game. Boston shot an embarrassing 36% percent from the field, while the Warriors shot a great 52.1%. You have to play up to your competition in games like this. It's obvious that they didn't do that. As a writer and fan, I have no time to keep thinking about this loss since the Celtics could have their confidence back by tonight. This evening at 9:00 pm ET, the Celtics will head to north to face the Kings. The Kings are just 10-19 and are second to last place in the Western conference. It can be seen on Comcast Sportsnet New England. Enjoy it.

Help us Avery Bradley, you're the Celtics' only hope

To steal a line from Star Wars, Celtics nation is currently anxiously awaiting the return of Avery Bradley on January 2nd, as right now Bradley is seemingly the only hope to help spark the Celtics, who have fallen to below .500 on the season and have been blown out twice in a row on the road against the Clippers and Warriors. Others are calling for a trade to acquire a big man such...

Sports Illustrated includes Courtney Lee on their "All-Disappointment Team"

Not the type of accolade that Courtney Lee was looking for. Lee has been named a starter on SI.com's All-Disappointment Team joining Deron Williams, D.J. Augustin, Ersan Ilyasova, and Andrea Bargnani. Here's what Sports Illustrated had to say about Lee:Fits between team and player rarely come cleaner than the meeting of Lee, a skilled and versatile combo guard who plays...

Jason Collins keeps posting ridiculous stat lines

Collins (right) commits fouls better than anything else. And not the good kind of ridiculous.  In the blowout loss to the Clippers on Thursday, the Celtics starting center played 17 minutes and grabbed one rebound.  It was the only thing he did that showed up in the box score, unless you count turnovers (1) or fouls (3). In 3 of his 4 starts Collins doesn't have a field...

5 Things Celtics must do to win tonight

Tonight, the Celtics will continue their West Coast road trip when they head to Oakland to face the Golden State Warriors. The Celtics are coming off a tough loss Thursday night to the Clippers, 106-77. There wasn't many bright spots for the C's and they pretty much deserved to lose. It was to a good team, but they should be more competitive that that. The Warriors aren&...

My first Boston Celtics' Game Gone Wrong

Celticslife writers looking good Disappointing, disgrace, upsetting. That is exactly how I felt going to my first Boston Celtics' game last night. I was really excited to go, and when I first bought the ticket in October, I thought it would be a guaranteed win, but I was totally wrong. I first met Paul Pierce in 2002, giving away signed autographs of his game "NBA Inside...

Celtics complete their California trip with another big loss to Kings: 96-118

Rondo's return did not help things at all. Remember the game back in March against Kings? Oh, OK, then you didn't have to see this one. In case you don't remember how that one ended, well, Celtics lost again as they were not able to handle a depleted Kings backcourt. No Aaron Brooks, no Tyreke Evans, no Marcus Thornton (in second half)? No problem. They had Isaiah Thomas...

Coincidence or Fate?

The Boston Celtics finish the year with a game against the Sacramento Kings at their stadium. In the last handful of years, the above sentence didn´t hold any special significance. The Kings haven´t been a true team since the end of the Webber years and the Celtics have been a powerhouse in the league. It would normally be just a game in which the team would coast and would win...
