Utah Jazz: Time To Trade For Jimmer Fredette Is Now

It is now time for the Utah Jazz to trade for local hero, Jimmer Fredette. The former BYU star has had a somewhat disappointing first two years in the NBA, as a member of the Sacramento Kings; even though most would say extremely disappointing. The difference between somewhat and extremely is that Fredette already has one elite NBA skill, his shooting and he shot 41% last season from three off the Kings’ bench. But why is now the time for Utah to trade for him? Their starting point guard, rookie Trey Burke, the 9th overall pick in July’s NBA Draft has a broken finger and will miss at least two months and their already very thin rotation at guard is now even thinner.
Jimmer isn’t a true point guard and he isn’t even average as a floor leader or distributor, but he is a capable ball handler and could help John Lucas III, Alec Burks, Gordon Hayward and whatever veteran point guard they ...
