The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Boston Celtics 101-93 on Wednesday.
The Celtics Brandon Bass took some of the game’s frustration out on the rim and Nets center Brook Lopez.
Lopez certainly was not backed down as hard as some people were this season were ( i.e. Jason Terry), but he was backed down all the same.

BEST OF MAXIM
Jason Terry may have given his opponent some motivation ahead of their game. He called the Orlando Magic a "terrible" team.
Hesitant. Lazy. Useless. Unintelligent. Moronic.
These make up a small sample of the plethora of adjectives I’ve used in describing Brandon Bass’ play this season. Hey, it falls within the job requirements of being founder, chairman and most vocal supporter of the Brandon Bass Hate Club.
You can now add “eating crow” to those responsibilities.
Over the first 62 games of the...
This was just too good to wait until after the game to post.
Brandon Bass just demolished Brook Lopez with perhaps his best, most aggressive as a Celtic. Awesome dunk.
Tweet Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez is putting the finishing touches on a season that will make some fans feel comfortable about the 4-year contract extension he signed last summer. Lopez is averaging 19.4 points, 7 rebounds, and a career-high 2.1 blocks per game. He was also selected to his first All-Star Game this [...]
Following a 109-101 loss to the Miami Heat on Friday night, Jason Terry threw some shade when he was asked about the Celtics next opponent, the 20-59 Orlando Magic.
According to Baxter Holmes of the Boston Globe:
Jason Terry on the Celtics’ next opponent, Orlando: “I don’t want to give them any fuel, but they’re terrible.”
LOOK OUT, young fella! Dunkers in the building!
You know how you were always taught to force your man middle? This is a great example of how that fails to work. Brandon Bass blows by Reggie Evans and into the lane, which generally isn’t a bad thing for the defense, but a late rotation by Brook Lopez, who looked as if he had no idea that Bass could dunk, results in Brook paying...

Brook Lopez had 29 points and 11 rebounds, Reggie Evans added 17 points and 24 boards, and the Brooklyn Nets firmly held their ground in the Eastern Conference playoff race with a 104-83 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night.
Deron Williams and Joe Johnson had 11 points apiece for the Nets, who began the day with a two-game lead over Chicago for the No. 4 seed in...
Reggie Evans and Brook Lopez combined for 46 points and 35 rebounds on 19-32 shooting this evening at the Barclays Center. Incredible
Another game vs a sub-.500 team, another big Nets win. Resting for two days after Saturday's home win vs the Charlotte Bobcats, Brooklyn thoroughly dominated a lifeless Philadelphia 76ers team that fell behind by 13 points...
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
While there’s clearly plenty for the Celtics to work on — and the tiny potential for some jockeying in the Eastern Conference seedings — Boston would likely jump at the chance to push the fictional fast-forward...
The Boston Celtics lost to the defending-champion Heat Friday night to give up the season series 3 to 1. Despite some strong individual performances, The Celtics struggled as a team, particularly on the defensive end. Jeff Green scored 25 points on 10-17 shooting with 8 rebounds, Brandon Bass had 14 points and 8 rebounds, and Jordan Crawford went for 20 points. LeBron James and Chris...
It's been well over three months since the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics met, but extra intensity can still be expected when these teams close their season series.
The Nets are closing in on home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs and can capture the season series for the first time since 2005-06 with a victory Wednesday night on the road against the Celtics...
It's tough to beat the Nets when Deron Williams, Brook Lopez and Joe Johnson combine for 70 points. It's even tougher when you shoot 37/81 from the field. Jared Weiss of CLNS Radio recaps the game in Three at the Buzzer.
