As an NBA analyst, Chris Webber has been calm, on-point, and at times, even articulate. Surely, he’s not as controversial or as boisterous as Charles Barkley, but oftentimes, he’s not asked to play that role.

Yesterday however, after the Miami Heat lost their fifth in a row, Webber added humor to his analyst repertoire.

Webber later went on to rip the entire organization for feeling sorry for themselves.

What was tougher, Jerry Sloan having to deal with D. Williams. What was tougher, Coach Adelman not having Yao Ming. What was tougher, Thibodeau being in Chicago and not having Hakeem. Come on man, this is the league. You driving a Ferrari and you have an extra tire in the back…PLAY BALL!

….shut up and play ball. Who cares. Don’t listen to me.

Sounds like Webber is campaigning for the inevitable Miami Heat head coaching job in the off-season. And given the players lack of respect for Spoelstra, I can’t say it’s that crazy of an idea.
