During Wednesday's Celtics-Lakers game, many CelticsLife.com visitors who were chatting in the Shoutbox noticed that someone was loudly screaming "Kevin!" from the sidelines. According to Sportress, it was a psycho Lakers fan trying to heckle Kevin Garnett.
While it's unclear if the fan did it throughout the game, it was most noticeable on the TV broadcast during a set of Dwight Howard's free throws, as the video above captured. Seems like a strange time for a Lakers fan to heckle KG since Howard isn't exactly the most proficient free throw shooter and probably didn't appreciate the distraction. But Lakers fans aren't exactly the most rational I suppose.

Boston Celtics star Kevin Garnett was heckled at Wednesday night's game at the Staples Center by a Los Angeles Lakers fan who simply shouted "Kevin!" over and over again.
ESPN microphones picked up the fan very clearly heckling Garnett at one point during the second quarter as Dwight Howard was shooting free throws.
Although not very creative on the fan'...
When the Boston Celtics traded for Jordan Crawford yesterday I joked about how I didn't want Kevin Garnett to end up with a murder rap on his record after he went off on Jordan Crawford for not playing any defense (his reputation). Turns out the two almost came to blows not too far back. I actually remember this story, but it had slipped my mind. Thanks to CSNNE'S Jessica...
Someone really, really wanted Kevin Garnett’s attention at Staples Center last night. In the second quarter of Wednesday night’s game against the Lakers, a persistent fan began yelling, “Kevin…Kevin…Keeevviinnnn…KEVIN!!” He did not respond.
Anyone remember Kevin Garnett's acting debut as Wilt Chamberlain back in 1996? All those sex scenes as Wilt must have been a bit awkward. Actually that didn't happen, but KG did play Wilt on the court. The Movie was "Rebound: The Legend of Earl 'The Goat' Manigault" and it starred Don Cheadle as the lead (actually it had a pretty star studded cast. The above...
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
Celtics coach Doc Rivers said he could tell that the 36-year-old Garnett hasn’t been the same since a triple-overtime victory over Denver on Feb. 10. Garnett played 47 minutes in that game.
The Celtics played...
Have avoided reporting every hiccup because much is slim sourced. But hearing of a new push within the Clippers to do something w/Celts.

To clarify: Some people w/in Clips want to do the Celt deal. Not sure others in organization are onboard. Some internal issues here.— Steve Bulpett (@SteveBHoop) February 21, 2013
Ok, so I don...
This was a tough way to go out. If the Celtics somehow trade away Paul Pierce or Kevin Garnett prior to Thursday’s trade deadline, their final game in green will not be a fond memory.
The Celtics’ underwhelming effort in Los Angeles on Wednesday was indicative of all their troubles without a lead guard like Rajon Rondo or a willing garbage man like Jared Sullinger. The 113-99...
Apparently, Chris Paul is in charge of the Clippers front office (he would probably be better than some of the people they have had in the past).
According the Bleacher Report, CP3 tried to get KG to waive his no-trade clause so he could be dealt to LA, but KG wasn’t having it.
Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald found that Chris Paul spoke to KG prior to the deadline and made...
As the NBA trade deadline nears, the Washington Wizards traded guard Jordan Crawford to the Boston Celtics for Leandro Barbosa, league sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
The Celtics marched into Laker-land with dead feet and tired minds. You could see from the get go that the momentum they had built prior to the all-star break was drying up faster than Kevin Garnett's resolve.
We could argue and beat a dead horse about the lack of point guard play, but no one hardly speaks about the elephant in the room. The very real need for a rugged big...
Not getting easier
The Portland Trail Blazers have lost seven straight games, and while the Boston Celtics aren’t what they used to be, they’re still a tough opponent for a young Rip City squad.
Matchup: Portland (25-30) vs. Boston Celtics (29-26)
Venue: Rose Garden
Time: 6:00 PM PT
Date: Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013
The playoffs are becoming less and less likely with each grueling...
The Boston Celtics sat Kevin Garnett Saturday and still easily defeated the Phoenix Suns -- thanks to Jeff Green.
The fifth-year forward dominated, making 11-of-14 shots, including three 3-pointers, for 31 points. He added a full stat line of seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and five blocks in 39 minutes. It was a dominant performance, but one that we've come to expect...
It’s not a trade involving Kevin Garnett or Paul Pierce, but it’s still worth talking.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Boston Celtics have dealt Leandro Barbosa’s expiring contract for Jordan Crawford. This deal originally involved Fab Melo, but the C’s persuaded Washington.
Celtics will send the Leandro Barbosa expiring contract to the Wizards for Jordan...
Kevin Garnett sat out Friday night (DNP – old and tired) and Jeff Green finally got his chance to start. Doing the best KG impression he could muster, he tore up Los Suns with a season-high 31 points and added 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 5 blocks. Oh, hello there! What did you say your name was? I don’t believe we’ve met. They traded you for who–Kendrick Perkins...
The Celtics unfortunately have dropped both games on their West Coast post All-Star Break road trip so far. While performing brilliantly at home in the TD Garden they have struggled to get W’s on the road. Hopefully, as the team gears up for a likely playoff spot this discouraging trend will not continue.
The tough west coast road trip goes through Phoenix Friday night in a matchup...
