We've seen it countless times. After a huge dunk or a jaw-dropping crossover by a player, his teammates go wild on the sidelines.
San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker had one such crossover on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Lakers, and while I'm sure his teammates enjoyed it, someone on the Lakers bench admired it as well.
After Parker crossed up Lakers guard Ramon Sessions to get to the basket for a layup, Lakers big man Jordan Hill started clapping on the sidelines and then stopped awkwardly after realizing what he was doing.
This may not be the exact equivalent of Scottie Pippen clapping on the bench when Allen Iverson got passed Michael Jordan with a crossover, but it still looks bad. The question is if Lakers fans will give Hill a pass since he is still adjusting to his new surroundings in Hollywood.
Here's a funny video of Spurs' guard Tony Parker doing a sweet crossover on Lakers' Ramon Sessions for a layup but look at the Lakers' bench as Jordan Hill is seen clapping after Parker makes the shot.Is that awkward or what? It's alright if you are a Lakers' fan and can appreciate the talents of an opposing team but for a teammate of Sessions to applaud after...

SAN ANTONIO Kobe Bryant was in a playful mood Wednesday night, telling reporters he didn't miss them at all during his seven-game injury absence.
He also didn't hesitate when asked whether he could play all 48 minutes Friday against San Antonio.
"If I have to," he said.
Yep. He's back.
It will have been two weeks since Bryant was sidelined because of a...
LOS ANGELES If there's anyone alive who still believes that the Lakers are a better team with Kobe Bryant sitting on the bench in a 5,000 suit rather than hoisting jumpers in shorts and a tank top...well...the late Betty Ford's people are holding a suite in Rancho Mirage with your name on it and a 28-day stay included.
It has been the latest rage among some fans and local...
Describing his shin as pain-free, Lakers star Kobe Bryant will return to the starting lineup Friday night at San Antonio after missing the past seven games.
Bryant said after the morning shootaround, at which he participated in full-speed workouts, that he feels he can play all 48 minutes if needed.
The 33-year-old Bryant has been sidelined by a case of tenosynovitis, or inflamed...
We’ve been hearing a lot from Tony Parker lately. If you watched the San Antonio Spurs’ game against the Lakers the other night, you saw him mic’d up, giving some insight into what he’s really like on the floor. I was kind of surprised that he showed a lot of personality out there and looked like he was having a good time. I really enjoyed it.
He also recently did an...
Yesterday I wrote a post about an interview with Tony Parker. In the interview TP talked about his relationship with Coach Pop and how it’s progressed over the years. Parker said he’s come a long way to get to where he is with his coach today. At the beginning it was no picnic.
Coach Popovich says when the San Antonio Spurs first worked out Parker they didn’t like him...
Kobe Bryant, who missed his seventh straight game Wednesday with a shin injury, is eyeing a Friday return for the Los Angeles Lakers after completing running and jumping exercises without pain.
"I'll probably be on the floor next game," Bryant told ESPN during the broadcast of the Lakers' 99-87 win against the Golden State Warriors.
If he again feels no discomfort...
It's a ludicrous question that's posed every year when Kobe Bryant sits out for a few games: Are the Lakers actually better without Kobe?
It always sounds crazy, and it is crazy in the sense that it's not true. But there's a reason the question is always raised.
The Lakers tend to play more loose and free when Kobe isn't on the floor. There's 20-30...
Andrew Bynum had 31 points and nine rebounds, Pau Gasol recorded a triple-double and the Los Angeles Lakers rebounded from their worst loss of the season by beating the undermanned Golden State Warriors 99-87 Wednesday night.
Gasol finished with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists to help the Lakers build a 17-point lead by the second quarter and cruise to an easy win - even with...
The San Antonio Spurs (45-16) will face the Los Angeles Lakers (40-23) for the final time during the regular season in San Antonio as both teams will look to take the series lead.
The Spurs and Lakers have both split their first two meetings this season with both teams winning on the road. Add the fact both teams have won convincingly makes tonight's game key as to which team...
The San Antonio Spurs handed the Los Angeles Lakers their worst loss of the season earlier this week, but that came with Kobe Bryant sidelined.
The Spurs likely won't get such a break this time with the Lakers star set to return from injury.
The Western Conference-leading Spurs will be trying to extend their winning streak to six Friday night, but Bryant is expected to play...
The Portland Trailblazers have essentially fired everybody over last twelve months. Their General Manager was pink-slipped last May, their Coach was axed in March, and they even cut the last player they picked number one overall this season too. All this in addition to Brandon Roy being forced to retire, Raymond Felton playing horribly, and Marcus Camby being dealt along with Gerald...
