Today at Rajon Rondo's basketball camp in Kentucky, Rondo seemingly did a question and answer bit where it appears that he was asked if he would ever play for Miami. His response was a resounding "I will never play for the Miami Heat." Not sure of the exact context of the response since the video is pretty short, but you have to love Rondo immediately shooting down the idea of taking his talents to South Beach. Rajon Rondo and new coach Brad Stevens meet

In his introductory press conference, Stevens expectedly had nothing but praise for Rajon Rondo. Stevens said he was impressed by both the point guard's intelligence and ahtletic skills on the court. While he apparently spoke with Rondo over the phone, he did mention he planned on meeting him face to face. Something he appears to have just done today as he's made his way...

Your Morning Dump… Where Rondo is an insightful, intelligent and neat person

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. “[Meeting Rondo] was great. What an insightful, intelligent, neat person to sit down with,” Stevens said during an on-camera interview with WDRB Fox 41 in Louisville. “I’ve got a chance to meet a lot of...

The Boston Celtics took out a full-page ad Friday in the Boston Globe to thank Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett after the blockbuster trade with the Brooklyn Nets was finalized. The ad showed photos of Garnett lifting the

Rajon Rondo reportedly says he is not a coach killer

Rajon Rondo’s highly competitive nature has helped turn him into one of the best point guards in the NBA, but his stubbornness has also made him difficult to coach. Rondo has developed a reputation for being tough to coach and does not disagree with the label. There was some speculation that Doc Rivers wanted to [...]

Brad Stevens is far more important to the Boston Celtics than Rajon Rondo

New Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens appeared at Rajon Rondo’s basketball camp in Kentucky on Thursday. A coaching wizard frequently compared to John Wooden, Stevens signed a six-year contract worth $22 million to lead Boston on July 3. “There is no bigger fan of Rajon Rondo than me,” said Stevens, 36, a three-time Academic All-America nominee at DePauw University. ...

Should The Boston Celtics Trade Rajon Rondo?

Rajon Rondo says he’s happy, but does anyone really think that will last? The potential relationship between Boston Celtics’ point guard Rajon Rondo, and the team’s new coach, 36-year-old Brad Stevens, has drawn some media scrutiny in these early days of the franchise’s new era. Will Rondo, noted for his difficult temperament, be able to co-exist with a new head coach completely...

Report: Celtics Coach Brad Stevens Visits Rajon Rondo in Louisville, Speaks With Basketball Campers

In the days since he was formally introduced as coach of the Celtics, Brad Stevens has met with Jeff Green, Jared Sullinger and Courtney Lee, to name just a few of his new players. One player he had not met with — and who showed little interest in going out of his way to meet him — was point guard Rajon Rondo. Fear not, Celtics fans, because that highly anticipated meeting reportedly...

Rajon Rondo Says He’ll Never Play for Heat (Video)

He says that now, but if the opportunity was afforded to him, I don’t think he would turn it down. A kid asked him would he ever play for the Heat while he was speaking at a basketball camp, here is what he had to say.

1-on-1 with coach Brad Stevens

I had a quick opportunity to catch up with new Celtics head coach 1-on-1.  He’s a busy guy, but he was nice enough to carve out 5 minutes to talk to me about a few things like his first exposure to the NBA game as head coach, Rajon Rondo, Kelly Olynyk, and the one play in basketball that gets him the most excited. JK:  What are you overall impressions summer league since this...

Report: Carmelo Anthony wanted Knicks to trade for Rajon Rondo earlier this summer

In less than 48 hours, the Celtics and Nets will finalize their mega-deal, and Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett will officially be gone. It's going to be tough to see them go, but at the very least most Celtics fans understand the deal. Boston needs to rebuild, and picking up three first round picks in exchange for two guys on the wrong side of 35 is a good deal for the long term...

Celtics coach Brad Stevens: Rajon Rondo is ‘really intelligent’

Boston Celtics new head coach Brad Stevens spent time with Rajon Rondo at the All-Star point guard’s summer camp Thursday and said Rondo was, “really, really intelligent, really, really insightful.” Stevens joined Dennis & Callahan of WEEI (93.7 FM) on Friday morning and said he met up with Rondo in Louisville, KY. “I just enjoyed spending

Paul Pierce’s Legacy With Celtics a Reminder Not to Give Up on Rajon Rondo Too Soon

There aren’t a lot of players like Paul Pierce, guys who give their all to one franchise, never have a tiff with a coach, never find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time and never, ever consider demanding a trade when the going gets tough. There aren’t a lot of players like that anymore, because Pierce isn’t one of those players, either. Ever since the epic title...

Report: Carmelo Anthony Wanted Knicks to Trade for Rajon Rondo

Carmelo Anthony‘s gambit to get what he wanted worked once before, when he was able to force a trade to the New York Knicks from the Denver Nuggets in 2011. Anthony must have figured it was worth another shot. Soon after the trade that sent Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to the Brooklyn Nets, Anthony told friends he wanted the Knicks to “make a play” for Rajon Rondo, the New...
