DENVER -- Travel-weary and down a star player, the Miami Heat didn't appear likely to end their futility in Denver on Thursday. However, thanks to a great all-around game from LeBron James and some pinpoint shooting from his supporting cast, the Heat built a huge lead and held on to beat the Nuggets 98-93 despite playing without guard Dwyane Wade. James finished with 27 points and 12 assists, and Shane Battier scored 18 points, all on 3-pointers, to help the Heat win in the Mile High City for the first time since James was a high school junior. The Heat lost Wednesday night to the Clippers in Los Angeles, while the Nuggets hadn't played since Monday. "This is a tough building to play in, especially when you get in at 5 in the morning, because the altitude is nothing to play with," James said. "So I just tried to go to another level. I just tried to find a little bit of energy to help our team win the ballgame, and fortunately I was able to do that.&quo...

Eric Bledsoe Welcomes Dwyane Wade To The Block Party

There are so many great things about this play.  First Eric hustles back when most players would just let a two on none happen. Not Eric, he comes running in and gets up higher than Dwyane Wade for the block. Great play for a young player that a lot of writers are high on.  I am a little surprised Dwyane Wade didn't call Bledsoe dirty or cheap after that block like he usually...

LeBron James leaves fan hanging (Video)

These videos are the absolute best. Someone needs to tell fans who sit in the front row at NBA games that being so close to the court doesn’t entitle you to a handshake from the world’s top player. Just look at this guy all ready to give LeBron the “wassup homie” handshake/hug only to be ignored. How dare he think he was going to receive daps from King James. The only thing...

Channing Tatum Named the Sexiest Man Alive; Furthers Campaign for Best Year Ever

Come on, Channing Tatum wasn’t about to make it that easy for LeBron James. After LeBron won his first NBA championship — ridding himself of a dump truck full of demons in the process — and then went on to lead Team USA to a gold medal in the London Olympics, everyone figured he was having the best year a person could possibly have. Buuuuuut in the midst of all of that, Channing...

Heat-Nuggets Preview

While their offense has been up to the task, the Miami Heat's defense hasn't been close to championship form. The Denver Nuggets have similar concerns defensively with the NBA's highest-scoring team coming to town Thursday night. After finishing fourth in the league in scoring defense at 92.5 points per game during their 2011-12 championship season, Miami (6-3) ranks...
