Redick's free throws win it for Magic

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Making clutch free throws at the end of games was old hat for J.J. Redick when he was playing at Duke University. "But you don't see that happen much in the NBA," Redick said. It happened Friday night when Redick went 8 for 8 from the line in the final 22 seconds to help the Orlando Magic preserve a 108-104 victory over the Cavaliers. It was...

Andrew Nicholson grows more comfortable, confident

Magic rookies have begun to take over the lineup. Maurice Harkless made his first career start Wednesday against Detroit and it is becoming clear that the coaching staff is gaining confidence in his ability and potential. Andrew Nicholson too has made an impact coming off the bench for the Magic. Even Kyle O'Quinn made his non-garbage time debut Wednesday night against Detroit...

Happy Thanksgiving!

The Magic entered the holiday with a win against the Pistons. But the real meaning of the holiday for the Magic is the yearly community service the Magic participate in every year at this time. Jameer Nelson, Maurice Harkless, Glen Davis and Jacque Vaughn were among the players who went to the Coalition for the Homeless to serve meals this morning. The Magic have gone to the...

Box Score: Magic 108, Cavaliers 104

Dwight Howard’s gone, but the Cavaliers’ funk against the Magic lives on. The wine and gold dropped their 10th straight game against Orlando, and despite a 25-point effort from Dion Waiters, lost to Orlando 108-104 in Amway Center. The Cavs got solid contributions from Anderson Varejao (19 points, 17 rebounds), Jeremy Pargo (15 points on 7-of-14 shooting), and Tyler Zeller (13...

Glen 'Big Baby' Davis Goes Flying Into the Stands Vs. Cleveland (Video)

Check out Orlando big man Glen 'Big Baby' Davis as he goes flying into the stands against the Cleveland Cavaliers yesterday, colliding with some of the Magic fans for a court side disaster! It looks like he takes out a nice couple in the third row who seem to be fine after the carnage is finally cleared out.  Not a bad jump by the big man.  Maybe next time he will make...

Box Score: Heat 110, Cavaliers 108

Win or lose, at the end of this game I couldn’t help but be proud of my beloved Cavaliers. Without Kyrie Irving, they were competing with the reigning NBA Champs on their home court — although, the advantage isn’t really a notable one. But yet, a loss like this still hurts. The most prolific three-point shooter in NBA history, Ray Allen, made the game-winner, Dwyane Wade was...

Jameer Nelson led the Magic with 22 points, six assists and six rebounds and Arron Afflalo contributed 19 points, but it was Redick's foul shooting that preserved Orlando's fourth win...

Magic soar in 4th to defeat Cavaliers

Glen Davis does not know how to stop himself -- in fact he knows he can't. When the ball is bouncing toward the sideline with a chance to be save, he said he has to go for it. He has to try and sacrifice himself for his team. Fans just have to know either to catch him or get out of the way. As Davis soard over two, maybe three rows, of fans courtside at the Amway Center,...
