Big news the last couple of days. Carmelo Anthony gets his Christmas wish and moves to the great city of New York to help bring Broadway to Madison Square Garden. Now with the trade deadline on their the heels, the New Jersey Nets wasted no time upgrading their roster. Sources are saying that the Nets acquired Deron Williams from the Utah Jazz for Devin Harris, Derrick Favors and two first round picks. One of those picks is from the Golden State Warriors.
In a separate deal, the Nets send Troy Murphy and his expiring contract to the Warriors for Brandan Wright and Dan Gadzuric. They will also receive a second round pick from the Nets. Sources say that the Warriors will likely buy out Murphy’s contract making him a free agent.
