The Golden State Warriors somewhat surprisingly acquired Andre Iguodala this offseason. With Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes on rookie contracts to play the wing, the move was somewhat of a surprise. "For us, we don’t really label our philosophy as much as just say, let’s try to get better, and if we see an opportunity that makes sense for us—financially, team-wise, chemistry-wise—let’s do it," said Bob Myers. The Warriors also pursued Dwight Howard despite being considered a longshot due to the necessity of the Los Angeles Lakers agreeing to a sign-and-trade in those scenarios.

The Other Splash Brother: Breaking Down Klay Thompson

When putting the pieces together to make an extraordinary basketball team, one that will stand out amongst all of the talent in the NBA today, a general manager and coach must find players that all compliment each other to bring the team to play at its very best. Every team aspires to achieve this goal, and one team that has done this brilliantly, albeit fairly under the radar...

Warriors sign Seth Curry

The Warriors are the all-Curry team. They signed Seth, the brother of star player Stephen Curry. Will Seth make the roster?

Make That Two Curry’s: Golden State Warriors Sign Seth Curry

Think about the best birthday present you’ve ever gotten. I don’t know what you came up with but I’ve got a feeling that Seth Curry has got us all beat. Today is August 23rd and Seth Curry, younger brother of Warriors guard Stephen Curry will be turning 23. Seth has also found a new job today. The Golden State Warriors have offered him a non-guaranteed contract and he will...

Video: Stephen Curry shows off his dunking skills

The Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry is a lethal 3-point shooter. Matter of fact, his long distance shot could be the most lethal of any NBA players that is in their respective starting five. So what is he doing hanging out above the rim? The Warriors posted this video on their Instagram account of Curry soaring like forward and stuffing the basket with a purpose. It won...

Report: Seth Curry to Join Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors for Training Camp

The Golden State Warriors have a history of giving feel-good stories a shot — but only so much of a shot, unfortunately for Seth Curry. Curry, the younger brother of Warriors guard and NBA All-Star Stephen Curry, is expected to be invited to join the Dubs for camp this fall, according to Warriors World. Shooting runs in the Curry family, as Seth Curry, like Stephen and their father...

VIDEO: Stephen Curry practices his dunking

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has always been known as a three point shooter and pretty much nothing else. The team posted a video though of Curry practicing his dunks with the caption “Steph Curry: not just a 3-point shooter. Check out what he’s been working on this summer.” That may excite the fans but I think it’s a little misleading. Curry has been hosting...

Stephen Curry roasts James Harden on Footlocker remix

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is the latest NBA player to hop into the recording booth on Footlocker’s behalf. Curry takes the Houston Rockets James Harden to task on this remix/spoof of Harden’s original track which was obviously a joke within itself. The irony of Curry calling Harden’s notes flat as he croons off-key is worth the time spent on this one alone...

Saint Louis Billikens: Calbert Cheaney named assistant coach

On Wednesday, the Saint Louis Billikens basketball program announced the hiring of Calbert Cheaney as the new assistant coach on head coach Jim Crews’ staff. Cheaney was a three-time All-American at Indiana during his collegiate career, which included a Naismith College Player of the Year in 1993. Cheaney, who also spent 13 years in the NBA, will come to Saint Louis after being...

Myers: Decent Portion Of Players Paid Less Than In Past

Bob Myers was a player agent under the NBA's previous collective bargaining agreement and is a general manager with the Golden State Warriors under the new, more restrictive version. "I think people are being more fiscally responsible and maybe a bit more conservative," said Myers. "Teams were not as aggressive on spending. The top-of-the-line free agents weren’t...

SQ13#44—Hunting for Opportunities

One of the things to look at during a rebuild is opportunity created by injury.  I suspect this will be a steady pastime for Ainge during this season.  If you aren’t expecting this to be a contending year, then an injured player who may miss most or all of the season may not hurt your team nearly as much as one with Championship aspirations. It may not be too early to seek...
