The Golden State Warriors have traded Corey Maggette and the 44th pick in the draft to the Milwaukee Bucks for Dan Gazduric and Charlie Bell.
The Warriors get rid of Maggett'e 3 year/$31 million contract and bring in a couple of expiring contracts.
By making this move, the Warriors just saved themselves a whole lot of money.
I have never been a fan of General Manager Larry Riley, or the entire front office as a whole, but they finally made a move that makes sense.
Corey Maggette wasn't the ideal teammate to get others involved. Even though, he did contribute to the Warrriors with his scoring, he didn't help much in other areas. Maggette is a streaky player. If he hits a wall, watch out, it could be a while before he gets back on track.
I was honestly surprised that the Warriors found themselves a taker for Maggette. And even more surprised that the Bucks were the team that wanted Maggette. But with John Salmons leaving for free agency, they needed a scorin...
