Every once in a while I'll search for random things on Ebay just to see what amazingness pops up. Usually I'll pick a person or a local team and mindlessly scroll through photos of the various items up for auction. I came across this gem (pictured above in all its glory) while searching for things that would make me feel better about the current state of the 76ers.

Yes, the #2 pick of the 1993 NBA Draft now helps me feel better about my 2-10 Sixers. That's value right there. Speaking of value, check out this gem of an openinng paragrah from a July 1993 New York Times story about Bradley agreeing to his rookie deal with the Sixers (bold added by me for emphasis)...

"SHAWN BRADLEY, the 7-foot-6-inch center who hasn't played competitive basketball in two years, signed a contract with the Philadelphia 76ers worth $44.2 million over eight years, a report published yesterday says."

Whenever you're able get your hands on a guy who hasn't competed in the sport you are going to pay him millions of dollars to play professionally against the greatest athletes in the world you gotta do it. No brainer, right? I mean, what risk could there be with a guy who is 7'6" who has the body type of an exclamation point? If anyone was ready to step right in and handle the rigors of the NBA it was this guy.

The ebay listing itself is incredible on so many levels. The auction is titled "Shawn Bradley Signed Photo COA 510". I am sure any potential buyer will feel secure bidding on this fine item knowing that the seller has graciously agreed to include a certificate of authenticity. I am sure there is a ton of forged Shawn Bradley merchandise out there.

More likely than not there's an entire Shawn Bradley black market rife with knockoff photos of him being dunked on.

I should point out that the seller has a Buy It Now purchase option set at the low, low price of $15.00. To clear up any confusion, yes that's $15.00 of American currency. Add $3.75 for shipping and you've got yourself a steal for $18.75.

I mean, look at that photo. Bradley is in a perfect athletic position to fire an outlet pass out of bounds. You can't teach that and you can't teach size.

As far as I can tell the only positive thing about this photo is that it appears as if Bradley is attempting to crush Danny Ainge's larynx with his incredibly bony elbow, which is nice. That move is pure basketball instinct.

Also, I like how Shawn strategically placed his autograph right on Ainge's annoying face. In the face! That'll teach him to attack Shawn's elbow with his windpipe.

Make the 76er fan in your life feel better about things. $18.75 is a small price to pay to raise the spirits of that certain Sixer someone you know. I am only going to ask once. What's it going to take for me to get you into this photo?
