Well no surprise at Verizon Center the arena I’d say was pretty dead, but can we blame the excuse for being a Wednesday night? I think not. Regardless, last nights game started off somewhat slow, the vibe of the arena was a debbie downer where fans would get up off their seats being more excited about winning a free burrito than seeing wizards players win a game. Can you blame them?

Speaking of winning games, Wizards really came out to play last night. Jordan Crawford with his right foot being swollen; which limited his mobility and confidence, he scored a game high of 32-points! Not only did Crawford display an excellent performance in last night’s game, but Nene returned from a 10-game absence with plantar fasciitis. It comes to show how hard these Wizards players want to show their fans how serious they are about winning games.

The Wizards trailed 62-60 at the half, but then took over in the third quarter, outscoring the Bucks 28-19 in that frame. Kevin Seraphin continued his streak of scoring in double figures as he put in 14, and his streak moved to 11 straight games.

“J.C. is going out there with his ankle twice the size it normally is. You got Nene, who came back out there, not 100 percent at all, still contributed. Guys are still motivated, which is great to see. It just shows the character of the team,” veteran Maurice Evans said.

“The win was sweet after Milwaukee beat us three times,” Nene said. “I got warmed up and said, ‘They beat us last time. I’m going to try to do something here.’ ”

One thing I truly cant stand is hearing people tell me how young this team is, regardless of age, some of these players who are injured and have every reason not to be playing the game have respect for the game by at least trying. I see this team is continuing to grow and the truth the players have amongst each other. I tip my hat to Jordan Crawford and Nene for showing DC fans what we’ve been missing, job well done.
