Wizard to sign Earl Boykins

With Randy Foye going down last night to an ankle injury, the injury bug officially became a plague. Now on the injured list for the Wizards is their team captain, Antawn Jamison, swingman Mike Miller, Foye, and back up point gaurds Mike James and Javaris Crittenton. Foye's injury put the Wizards in such a tight spot last night that Deshawn Stevenson and Nick Young were being asked to play the point position last night. That last sentance alone was enough to spark the Wizards front office into action tonight as they went out and signed free agent point gaurd Earl Boykins according to league sources. Back up forward Paul Davis is to be released. Boykins, a 5 foot 5 speedster, is a 10 year NBA veteran who spent most of his career in Denver. Like many players of his stature before him, Boykins had to earn his place in the league.
