With the NBA product what it is, many teams are incorporating fans into activities during timeouts to maintain interest.  The Washington Wizards pulled out some serious stunts this past Saturday against the Boston Celtics.  They grabbed fans out of the stands to follow mascot G-Man’s lead by attempting dunks after jumping off a trampoline.  After several average Joes failed miserably, they brought “Eddie” who stole the shoe. “Eddie” who appeared to be at the game on a date couldn’t relinquish his cell phone as he was supposedly talking to his date while he was on the floor ready for his turn.  So he did what any Romeo would, he kept the cell phone to his ear as he took off running, went flying off the trampoline and completed the dunk. And yes, I know it’s fake. We know “Eddie” wasn’t randomly pulled from the audience.  Nonetheless, it was still somewhat impressive.  The public address announcer was impressed…or so he acted.  It’s all about that entertainment value.
