MINNEAPOLIS The NBA announced Thursday that Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love was named to the All-NBA second team. Love finished the season averaging a career-high 26.0 points per game. That was good for a single-season franchise record and fourth-best in the league. He also averaged 13.3 rebounds per game, second only to Orlando's Dwight Howard. Love's 48 double-doubles were the most in the NBA, and he averaged 39.0 minutes per game (second-best in the league). In addition, Love became the third player in NBA history to average more than 25 points and 10 rebounds while making more than 50 three-pointers in a season. Only Larry Bird in 1984-85 and Charles Barkley in 1992-93 had previously accomplished the feat; Love out-rebounded each and made nearly twice as many three-pointers as each despite the abbreviated season.Only two other Timberwolves have ever earned All-NBA honors.
