MINNEAPOLIS -- The 82 obstacles between the Minnesota Timberwolves and a long-sought-after return to the postseason were announced to the world Tuesday. The NBA released its full schedule during an NBA-TV special, and the team with the league's longest active playoff drought -- nine seasons -- opens up at home Wednesday, Oct. 30, against Orlando. Four of Minnesota's first six games are at the Target Center, including matchups with Western Conference playoff incumbents Oklahoma City (Nov. 1) and Golden State (Nov. 6). It's a fairly balanced slate in terms of travel, with a five-game road swing from Feb. 22-March 3 serving as the Timberwolves' longest. They'll play four consecutive road games from Jan. 21-28. Two four-game home stands appear on the schedule. The toughest stretch comes early.
