We won’t say DeSagana Diop is the worst player in NBA history, but the dude is totally a waste of space.

The Cleveland Cavaliers made him the eighth overall selection in the 2001 NBA draft. He somehow stuck around with them for four years and he’s now wasting space for the Charlotte Bobcats, where he brings his gaudy career averages of 2.0 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Pretty nice numbers for a guy who’s seven feet, 280, huh?

Over the weekend, Diop took sucking a basketball to a whole new level, though. He fired up a free throw and well, it made it about half way to the basket. If I were his teammate, I would have punched him.

Premise of Video: DeSagana Diop of the Charlotte Bobcats steps to the line to a shoot a free throw and then releases probably the worst attempt in the history of free throw shooting.

Climax of Video: We like the slow-motion replay. It’s like if they played Chariots of Fire for futility.

Conclusion: Can someone drag this embarrassment out behind the barn and shoot him already?
