ESPNBoston.com’s Chris Forsberg is reporting that Boston Celtics forward Brandon Bass will miss anywhere from 10-14 days with inflammation in his right knee. Bass is definitely the Celtics’ top bench player and now Boston will be without a top big man coming off their bench.

Boston Celtics JaJaun Johnson Can Give Celtics Bass Like Play
The bad news for the Boston Celtics is Brandon Bass is out injured for about seven to as many as fourteen days with inflammation in the knee that he banged up against the Knicks on February 3rd. This type of injury would normally cripple a team for a little while. Bass has been the Celtics top performer off the bench. He has given them a guy that can hit the open fifteen foot jump...

Brandon Bass out 7-10 days; Jermaine O’Neal out today
Brandon Bass will miss the next 7-10 days due to a sore, swollen knee, leaving the Boston Celtics without their sixth man and primary bench scoring option. The Celtics often discuss injuries in time frames that are similar to dog years — where “7-10 days” means “out at least a month” — so let’s hope this isn’t another one of those occasions...

Brandon Bass (knee) expected to return tonight
Brandon Bass (swollen knee) is expected to return to the Boston Celtics tonight after a one-game absence, a development which should add instant scoring to the bench but might keep us from excitedly (and repeatedly) shouting “JAJUAN MOTHER-FLIPPING JOHNSON!” at our television screens. For those of you fretting about my latter point, do not worry too much — we can...

Brandon Bass wants to remain with Boston Celtics forever
Many players — think Delonte West, among others — claim a strong desire to stay with the Boston Celtics, then bolt at the first chance to leave. It’s easy for players to tell a reporter they want to stay. More difficult to tell a reporter, “Actually, I don’t really like this organization and think I would be better elsewhere” — unless you...
