Celtics Trade Patrick O'Bryant
The Boston Celtics dealt center Patrick O'Bryant to the Toronto Raptors and received point guard Will Solomon. Boston has expressed interest in Calvin Booth if he is waived.
Solomon has played for Vancouver Grizzlies and also overseas after declaring himself eligible for the 2001 draft.He is 30 years old and was averaging 4.9 points and 3.2 rebounds playing roughly 13 minutes...

Sixers Sign Elton Brand
Well that didn't take long. According to several media outlets, including the Philadelphia Daily News, the Los Angeles Times, and ESPN.com, the Philadelphia 76ers have come to a verbal agreement with forward Elton Brand. The deal is reportedly worth $82 million over five years.
The deal cannot formally be announced until Wednesday when the NBA trade moratorium is lifted.

Elton Brand is a Sixer!!
The Sixers appear to have pulled it off. After trading away Rodney Carney and Calvin Booth to clear up cap space, the Sixers have lured the best available free agent, Elton Brand, away from the Clippers. According to ESPN, the Sixers have offered Brand a 5 year deal worth a reported 82 million dollars, and Brand is going to accept it.
The move makes the Sixers an instant contender...

Sixers Trade Carney To Minnesota To Clear Cap Space
The Sixers traded Rodney Carney, a future No. 1 pick, and Calvin Booth to the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday. The Sixers clear up some much needed cap space, giving them about $14 million to pursue a top flight free agent. It is not clear yet what the Sixers will get in return.
In his two years in the NBA, Carney averaged 6.2 points and two rebounds per game.
