Knicks Sign Demetris Nichols
The New York Knickerbockers President of Basketball Operations Donnie Walsh announced today that free agent guard Demetris Nichols has been signed to a 10-day contract. Nichols, a member of the Iowa Energy, became the 14th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2008-09 NBA Development League season.

Lakers should sign Demetris Nichols
The Lakers currently have 14 players under contract and the 2.7 million trade exception from the Trevor Ariza deal. There has been speculation that the Lakers could use it to sign Chris Webber or package it in a trade for another established player.
My opinion is if the Lakers were going to sign Chris Webber they would have done it already. Knowing the nuances of the triangle...
