Even In Hindsight, Letting Dorell Wright Go Was Right Move
Miami Heat fans that stayed up to watch the disappointment in Oakland Jan. 10 may feel that Pat Riley should have re-signed Dorell Wright in 2010. The Heat’s 2004 first-round pick had 20 points and 11 rebounds against his former team, making six 3-pointers, including one to tie the game with 31 seconds left in regulation. In a game against the Heat last year, Wright had 30 points...

Dorell Wright Takes Down His Old Team
Way back in 2010, the Miami Heat formed a “Dream Team”. When they went out and acquired LeBron James and Chris Bosh, it meant the end of the road for Michael Beasley and Dorell Wright. I stated then that while Beasley had more hype coming in when he was drafted #2 overall behind Derrick Rose, Wright was the player that the Heat were more likely to miss. It took...

Dorell Wright scored 20 points and made a season-high six 3-pointers, including a tying shot late in regulation, and the short-handed Golden State Warriors spoiled Dwyane Wade's return with a 111-106 overtime victory over the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.
The former Miami forward also converted a go-ahead 3-pointer in the extra period, ending Golden State's five-game losing...

GS Warriors' Dorell Wright training for Dancing with the Stars?
OK, this isn't exactly ballroom dancing, but Warriors swingman Dorell Wright released a pretty funny video of his fancy feet Wednesday morning. Wright has been one of the most active NBA players during the lockout, spanning the globe to participate in pickup games and using some down time to do charity work.
Here's another one of his charitable efforts:

Dorell Wright is going to have another big year for the Golden State Warriors in 2011-12
Dwyane Wade kept saying that Dorell Wright was the best athlete on the Heat, but he never really got a chance to play there. That all changed last year when Dorell Wright finally got a chance to show what he can do with the Warriors. Wright played in 82 games (all starts) for the Warriors last year and he averaged 38.4 minutes, 16.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals...

Dorell Wright to Become a Shooting Guard?
With several of the Monte Ellis trades involving small forwards, what does this mean for Dorell Wright? One would assume that if the Warriors traded Ellis for Andre Iguodala, Lamar Odom or Luol Deng that they would take over as the starting small forward. So I would then assume Dorell Wright would be headed to the bench?
I could also see another scenario where if Klay Thompson struggles...

Will Dorell Wright Win Most Improved?
Could Dorell's name be on one of these?Even though it has been another long and hard to watch season let’s try to find that silver lining. A possible award winner for the Warriors this season could be Dorell Wright. He is a strong candidate for most improved player. It may not be as prestigious as MVP or even rookie of the year but it does mean the Warriors made a great...
