EARL BOYKINS RUMORS & GOSSIP

Earl Boykins and D.J. Mbenga to Olympiacos – If so, when?

So it’s not quite Kirilenko-to-CSKA, but it’s got BallinEurope on pins and needles. To wit, the ostensible signings of Earl Boykins, a free agent currently listed as the shorter player in the NBA ranks, and fan favorite D.J. Mbenga by Olympiacos. For nearly a week, the story of the Reds signing the 5’5” Boykins has been getting play from American sources to Greece-based Sentragoal...

Your probably bigger than Earl Boykins, but can you do this?

Some of my all time favorite basketball players are the little guys. Spudd Webb was awesome back in the day with the Hawks throwing down dunks in the dunk contest in 1986. Webb was only 5’7”, the fact that he can even dunk amazes me (since I’m 6’2” and never got close). Then there was Tyronne “Mugsy” Bogues. Bogues at only 5’3” tall in my opinion at least was...

Video: Earl Boykins' shot goes around, and around, and ...

The Milwaukee Bucks have had a hard time putting the ball in the hole, all season long. The team is 29th in offensive efficiency (the big one), 30th in points per game (the one Mark Jackson would use), and tied for last in the NBA in field goal percentage with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Nobody should be tied for anything with the Cavaliers. But this? This is ridiculous. No ball should...

NBA Video: Earl Boykins Displays Fancy Moves Against Timmy Duncan

Each time Earl Boykins steps on the court he defies conventional wisdom. The little man from Eastern Michigan has played 11 seasons in the NBA and is just as dynamic today as he was way back in 1998.Check him out here as he makes the great Tim Duncan look a bit foolish on the defensive end.

Earl Boykins Plays Big In Bucks Win Against the Kings

Earl Boykins is only 5 feet 5 inches, but he plays much bigger than his size. The Milwaukee Bucks are finding that out and they could not be happier. Boykins scored 9 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Bucks to a 84-79 win over the Kings. Boykins is a 12 year veteran and seeing playing time because of the Brandon Jennings injury. I do not think you will hear him complain...

Bucks sign Earl Boykins

The Milwaukee Bucks have signed guard Earl Boykins (5-5, 133) to a contract, General Manager John Hammond announced today. An 11-year NBA veteran, Boykins played 35 games for Milwaukee during the 2006-07 campaign after a mid-season trade with the Denver Nuggets.  He enjoyed his best statistical season in 2006-07 when he combined to average 14.6 points, [...]

Fear the Deer: Earl Boykins to sign with the Bucks

The Bucks are near an agreement with veteran point guard Earl Boykins, a move which would complete Milwaukee’s point guard trio for the 2010-’11 season. Sources indicated a one-year deal could be reached within the next week to bring Boykins back to the Bucks for a second time. The 5-foot-5 guard played last season with the Washington Wizards and appeared in 67 games while...

Q&A With Nets Are Scorching, New Jersey Nets Blog

The last time the Wizards faced the Nets in New Jersey, Earl Boykins hit a game winner with 0.4 seconds left. The first time these two teams meet this season was the Wizards’ home opener in D.C., an old-fashioned blow out. Different times back then. So, the Wiz are 2-0 against New Jersey this year, but [...]
