The Celtics already have KG, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce. They also have a developing point guard in Rajon Rondo. Why not bring in Sam Cassell, Brent Barry or Jamaal Magloire with 2 spots open? For the Mavs, the Jason Kidd trade is leaving them shorthanded at the PG and C spots.
