Denver Nuggets are set to cut Corey Higgins and Michael Ruffin, a source in the organization has revealed to SLAMonline exclusively.
Higgins and Ruffin were invited to the Nuggets’ short training camp and will be released from the team shortly.
The team was scheduled to cut Higgins and Ruffin on Tuesday but delayed it till now.

Denver Nuggets waive Cory Higgins and Michael Ruffin
The Denver Nuggets have waived G Cory Higgins and F Michael Ruffin, team executive vice president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri announced today.
The move brings Denver’s roster to the NBA-maximum 15 players.
Higgins, 6-5, 185, signed with Denver on Dec. 9. He scored seven points in 13 minutes in two preseason games.

The Thunder have released veteran power forward Michael Ruffin. Ruffin was too far down on the depth chart for the Thunder to consider keeping him on the roster. It’s a good sign for the Thunder that they won’t be keeping a guy with Ruffin’s credentials on the roster to start the season.
